I guess I’ll make this a permanent thing then
As I’ve mentioned before, I love SoundCloud very very much. It’s not just a place for uploading tunes; it’s a social network with interaction and discovery as its main features. I have previously written a mini-guide on how to get the best out of SoundCloud, about how to get great quality comments on your music, and why spamming reduces your value as a human being.
I favourite a lot of music on SoundCloud. The people I follow make great music, but they also have great taste in music, and this shows up regularly in my dashboard. It’s been two weeks since my previous SC favourite post, and I’ve favourited 11 tracks, so it’s about time for a new post. Maybe every other friday is a good schedule? We’ll see.
Here’s what I’ve discovered on SoundCloud the past two weeks:
Coax – Never Return
Beautiful surrealistic mellotron magic.
Venture – Autumn Sun
’90s inspired atmospheric drum ‘n’ bass, with silky autumn clouds.
Bramovic – Duality
Celestial texture magic by the one and only.
ManOfTheDown – Takeshi’s New Sleeve
Like japanese sci-fi-hop meets late ’90s PlayStation platform games or something.
Johnny Ripper – Waltz for an imaginary piano
Normally, this wouldn’t be my thing, but Johnny has a really unique touch.
BluffMunkey – Waters Edge
The master of electronic cinematic soundscapes returns. God dayum this is epic.
Sunshine – Earth
Inspired by Art of Trance, and probably one of the coolest trance tracks I’ve heard all year. Cinematic world sounds and 303s come together superbly.
Shane Stapylton – Born Above the Sky
Euphoric piano/soundtrack bliss made my jaw drop.
